At the Butterfly House, we are open 7 days a week from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day
each year, or by chance....and we offer the following:
1. We teach the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly
2. We share the amazing stories of Valerie Fons' world kayaking adventures
3. After 3pm we are often seen giving off the beaten path tours to our guests
4. We have a small gift shop where we sell everything from handmade wooden ornaments, specialized greeting cards and handmade jewelry. You never know what you will find at our gift store, so stop and check us out!
5. AND a must have, create your own memories at the Butterfly House by taking your picture in front of the butterfly wings!

When is the best time to see Monarch Butterflies on Washington Island?
The beginning of each season is different-- it depends on the weather. But if you're here mid-July through the end of August-- there's a good chance you'll see Monarchs.
HOW MUCH OF MY DONATION DIRECTLY SUPPORTS THE BUTTERFLY HOUSE?
Every penny is used for upkeep of the house and grounds or towards costs of monthly bills/
